Hanes tries to make the world more comfortable with their clothing, but they know that sometimes, even the world's comfiest clothing can't help. So they're looking for your funny uncomfortable holiday stories in their Uncomfortable Holiday Moments Contest.
Each week for seven weeks, seven entries will be chosen on the basis of "the extent and nature of the 'uncomfortable' holiday moment; the level of humor conveyed in the essay; and the originality and creativity in the telling of the story to most effectively convey to readers the discomfort of the moment."
Each of the 49 grand-prize winners will receive a selection of Hanes clothing. The winners can select their clothing sizes, and the prize will vary depending on the gender of each winner. Each prize is worth around $200.
Entry into the Uncomfortable Holiday Moments Contest is open to US residents aged 18 and above. Enter weekly through January 2, 2010.
